Hi Freelance Friends,
Here in the UK, there’s a heatwave. There’s SO much content around it, so first of all I’d like to say hello to anyone who ISN’T in the UK - I know that you must be tired of seeing all our ‘how to cope/freelance’ in the heat content!
Remember, if you’re working on content plans, don’t throw it all out the window just to tell people to drink more water…
This mid-month musing is all about something local to me - a new workshop I’m running on August 4th. It’s the first ever IRL Freelance Feels workshop, and will be at the Bloxham Mill business centre, a co-working space in Bloxham, Oxfordshire.
There are full details on Eventbrite but you can expect some CV coaching, boosting your confidence on social media and setting realistic, achievable goals for your business to take you into Q4. There will be bespoke worksheets for this workshop, as well as a great chance to meet some other local business owners and freelancers.
It’s called… the Self-Employed Summer School! Tickets are £45 and it’s limited to 10 people so do check out the info if you’re nearby.
In other mid-month news, there are two new episodes of the podcast out this week, so if you’ve given up on desk work and are sitting in the garden, you can listen to these and feel better about ‘skiving off’.
Or, put them on at your desk to keep you inspired! We’ve got a chat all about being a self-employed parent with ‘Freelance Mum’ Faye Dicker, and an insight into running a festival with Catherine Riley from Primadonna festival.
And finally… here’s why I believe each and every freelancer should have a freelance CV…
Bye for now
Jenny
